Flt Lt Stephen Rennie

FdSc MBCS RAF

Steve Rennie is an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force, currently serving as Officer Commanding Rapid Application Integration & Development within 90 Signals Unit in North Yorkshire. Specialising in information capability and operational support, he blends technical expertise with leadership in cyber and digital domains.

Steve has played a leading role in Defence Esports at all levels since 2019, being appointed as RAF Chair in 2023 and driving professional standards, governance, and engagement as Defence Chair since 2024.

He is completing an MSc in Information Capability Management with Cranfield University and is pursuing Chartered Engineer status as part of his CPD. His focus is delivering resilient information systems, advancing capability for future operations, and improving the lived experience for people within Defence. In his spare time, he is a keen mountain biker, and enjoys FPS and Strategy games.
